Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker originated from the Dutch owned island of Aruba. This beautiful island surrounded by turquoise crystal ocean is nestled in the heart of the Caribbean. The closest neighbouring island is Curacao, followed by mainland Venezuela. Aruba has a rich in fascinating cultural mix, the native Aruban population has ethnic roots in Arawak, African, and European peoples, reflected in the local foods, architecture, celebrations, and languages. Historically and Culturally, Aruba has strong ties to Holland, as it is its colonial occupier and present-day partner in the Netherlands kingdom. The official language of the island is Dutch, seen on street signs, government documents, and several local newspapers, but most of the island speaks English also.

So how did this idyllic island paradise give birth to one of the fastest growing casino favourites of all time? It all started 25 years ago at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Casino, where the game was first introduced to the guests at the hotel. This strange Poker variant is played on a table similar to that of a Blackjack table.
